About us
A movement that shakes people awake, restores them, and brings them closer to Jesus.
About Schud de Plaatsen
Schud de Plaatsen is a movement aimed at both Christians and non-Christians, in the Netherlands and beyond. The desire is to bring people into contact with the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit, so that lives are visibly transformed. In the Netherlands, this takes place through gatherings with room for worship, prayer, and encounters with God. Internationally, people are reached through diverse online platforms, allowing the message of hope and renewal to cross borders.
The vision behind Schud de Plaatsen is that "shaking" wakes people up. It exposes what has grown crooked and brings restoration, strength, and stability — not only in individual lives, but also in society as a whole. This shaking is not aimed at chaos, but at restoration: a movement that, under God's guidance, seeks to bring everything back into alignment with His original intent (Hebrews 12:27-29).

The call is clear: everyone is invited to become part of this movement. Together, places can be "shaken," lives can be renewed, and hope can be spread. Step by step, life by life, with the desire to see lasting transformation in the Netherlands and far beyond.

About Jelthe Kloens

Jelthe is the visionary and co-founder of Stichting Schud de Plaatsen.
From an early age, Jelthe experienced a deep passion for God. His heart burns for revival in the church in the Netherlands and he longs to see lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Through Schud de Plaatsen, he seeks to activate believers, shake regions awake, and foster a culture of worship, prayer, and radical surrender.
Through his own struggle with illness and the loss of friends at a young age, Jelthe has developed a deep compassion for people in need, the sick, and those burdened by heavy circumstances. Out of that compassion, alongside his calling in ministry, he is sometimes available late into the night for young people and families needing pastoral care in the midst of illness.
Jelthe believes this generation is called to make a difference, not only within church walls, but especially outside them in every sphere of society. He sees it as his mission to build up leaders, equip disciples, and ignite a movement that draws people closer to Jesus through love and compassion.
Alongside his full-time work for the foundation, Jelthe serves 3 to 4 times a month as a volunteer with a major charitable organisation in the Netherlands.
